Halle Berry: A Legacy in the Making
May 10, 2006

She's sexy, talented, beautiful and looking at her, you would never guess she's about to turn 40!

Halle Berry stole the spotlight Tuesday night at the Producer's Guild of America, where she was honored with the 2006 Celebration of Diversity Award. "To be honored for being able to make a way out of noway is what really feels good," she said. "That's what my career has been all about, and I believe that will be my legacy."

While we can count the ways Halle will leave her mark on Hollywood, the sexy actress has many other reasons to celebrate.

Tuesday night, Halle broke news about her latest slated project, co-starring a hunky leading Latin lover. "I am doing a movie with fine-ass Benicio Del Toro," she revealed.

In real life, Halle's leading man is also easy on the eyes -- model Gabriel Aubry. While he wasn't on her arm Tuesday night, he was the reason for her beaming smile.

Even though Halle is nearly a decade older than Gabriel, age means nothing to the couple. It seems impossible that gorgeous Halle will be turning 40! "I'm not really. Haven't you heard?" she joked.

All joking aside, Halle is not dreading her milestone year: "I'm just feeling the age I feel, and I'm just not trying that hard to do anything about it. I'm just trying to enjoy life."

Halle is also enjoying her summer on the big screen. She's taking the box office by storm, or rather, as Storm, reprising her role as the sexy mutant in "X-Men: The Last Stand."

"That's why I think the X-Men' series is so loved," Berry said. "Everybody relates to it. Everybody understands what it's like to be an outsider. In some form, we've all dealt with it."
