Britney and Kevin Make First TV Appearance on Ellen
May 17, 2005
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline made their first TV appearance together as husband, wife and soon-to-be mommy Tuesday on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," and "Extra" was there to catch the newlyweds in action.
Brit and Kevin shared their pesky paparazzi stories with Ellen, but as their new reality TV show, "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic," debuts Tuesday night on UPN, the couple turns the camera on themselves. They're offering fans a "backstage pass" into the life of the pop music superstar and the dancer she met and suddenly married last year.
So how did Kevin propose? "I proposed," Britney corrected. "Actually, I was a little rejected at first. I kind of got slapped down."
"No, I told her that it's not right for the woman to ask the man," Kevin chimed in. "The man's supposed to get on one knee and do it right. So it took me about five minutes, and I turned around and asked her."
And no Ellen visit is complete without some baby gifts for the expectant couple, including "Oops, I Did It Again" diapers, baseball hats to evade the paparazzi and the same stroller she gave Gwyneth Paltrow -- but this time pimped out with spinning rims, glowing ground effects and even an onboard CD and DVD player.
"I'll be bling blinging with my child," Britney exclaimed.
And all Ellen wanted in return was to be the baby's godmother!
