The Guide to a Better YOU
May 13, 2005
It is the key to looking like a “Desperate Housewife” and
feeling like a kid. “YOU: The Owners Manual” is
taking the world by storm -- Oprah even did a show
on this amazing new book -- with tips on everything
from preventing cancer to erasing wrinkles.
The book was written by prominent Drs. Michael
Roizen and Mehmet Oz, who told us, “We wrote
this book because we were tired of people being
fearful of their bodies."
Not only that, but the book is also a major myth
buster. So let's do a little rumor control for
your health.
So what about those health tips? Is there such
a thing as a magic pill that can cut your risk
of cancer, heart attack and stroke? Believe it
or not... yes! “It’s called aspirin,”
Dr. Oz told us.
But can an aspirin a day actually make you look younger?
That’s another yes. “It reduces inflammation
right under the top layer of your skin and that makes
you look and actually be younger,” Dr. Roizen
said.
Should you feed a cold and starve a fever? Well forget
what you've heard, it’s a no! “You should
eat the same amount all the time, Dr. Roizen advised. “Whether
it’s a fever or a cold you'll get better as long
as you eat healthy.”
Do men really think about sex more than women? Yes! “Fact,
men do think of sex more than women,” confirmed
Dr. Oz. “And the data is the same for both: sex
keeps you younger.”
The good doctors also have some important diet tips:
“Nine servings of fruit and veggies,” said
Dr. Roizen.
Added Dr. Oz, “These are foods you should eat
everyday.”
And be sure to include whole grains and nuts daily,
like walnuts, which can improve fertility.
So to look younger, feel stronger and live longer,
find “YOU” on shelves now.
