Extra's 'Idol' Makeover: Randy's
Dawg Pound May
2, 2005 It's the one place cameras
never go on TV's hottest show: the "American
Idol" dressing rooms -- but that's about
to change as we kick off "Extra's Extreme
Makeover: Judges Edition." That's right,
we gave each of the judges a complete dressing
room re-do, starting with Randy Jackson.
Backstage, Randy's original kennel was looking
a little drab, so we helped him video tape a plea
for help from designer Michael Moloney. And Michael
was more than happy to throw Randy a bone. His
team of designers worked ferociously, shopping
and sawing their way to a top-dog dressing room
in just 48 hours, creating a funky Dawg Pound,
a soothing Zen Room and an upgraded bathroom.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!"
Randy enthused as he took in his new digs. And
host Ryan was equally impressed.
And we've got even more makeover magic in store as we
continue with our Backstage renovations of Ryan, Simon
and Paula's dressing rooms, next week!
Be sure to check out the Slide version of this
story for pictures from Randy's new rooms.
Special thanks to all the organizations that helped
us make Randy's retreat fit for a dawg.
