Ellen Prepares for an Amazing May
April 28, 2006

Daytime queen Ellen DeGeneres may have trouble finding room in her house to squeeze in any more winning trophies from her hit talk show, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

DeGeneres picked up five daytime Emmy Awards last year, including one for Best Talk Show Host. We asked the talk show queen to estimate exactly how many awards she's won. "17,000," she joked. "Yes, they're all planted in a cornfield. They're all in the ground."

While Ellen boasts the most wins, she is also the host that boasts the best guests. The infamous Tom Cruise is slated to stop by for an upcoming show. "Make sure you watch because we'll show his baby," Ellen laughed. "He doesn't mind. No, we'll show his baby. The next ‘Ellen,' see Suri!"

In addition to Tom, Ellen is joining forces with Paris Hilton for a Best in Show show! "We're going to have the world's largest dog next to Tinkerbell, Paris' dog," Ellen said. "I'm not saying that something might not happen, but that's good TV!"

And that's not all that's in the works for the funny lady. The two-stepping host is also planning a musical. "I don't want to give it away, but it starts in the audience," she revealed. "It's me with guests and Jack Black is on. It's going to be great."

Tune in Monday for Ellen and Paris' dog show, and stay tuned throughout May for all of Ellen's Emmy-winning antics.
