Whitney Houston Checks Back into Rehab
April 18, 2006
She's survived allegations of drug abuse, questions about her legendary voice and a husband constantly on the road without her. But now it appears that it's all tumbling down for Whitney Houston.
"Extra" has learned that Whitney may finally be trying to get help, reportedly checking into rehab at the Sierra Tucson Treatment Center in Arizona.
This latest step for Whitney comes on the heels of several headline-grabbing National Enquirer stories, which featured a disturbing picture of what they claim is crack inside Whitney's filthy bathroom.
Whitney famously denied doing crack in an interview with Diane Sawyer, claiming, "Crack is whack."
Even recently, the famed singer looked to have left her troubles behind her during an appearance on BET's 25th Anniversary Special in October. The appearance was billed as Whitney's return to the stage.
However, since that appearance, reports claim the legendary diva has been in a dark downward spiral. She was last seen touching down with husband Bobby Brown at the Atlanta airport in February.
As for Bobby, he recently told Sister Sister Magazine he's been performing along the East Coast, while Whitney's been with daughter Bobbi Kristina in Atlanta.
He also denied allegations that the couple had split and addressed Whitney's alleged drug abuse. "That's a bunch of crap. She's doing really good," Brown said. He also sparked rumors by saying, "I'm hoping that she's pregnant right now."
Whitney's people gave "Extra" a "No Comment" about Bobby's pregnancy statement or her reported rehab, but you can be sure "Extra" will bring you all the latest.
