Life in the Fast Lane
April 11, 2005
Legendary Paul Newman spent the weekend in the fast
lane: racing around with Jay Leno on "The Tonight
Show" and gearing up for the weekend's Toyota Celebrity
Grand Prix of Long Beach -- a star-studded charity event
that raised $250,000 for Newman's camp for sick children.
Governor Schwarzenegger hung out in the pit, while stars like Frankie Muniz, Karl Malone and Meatloaf raced for their favorite charities.
Patrick Dempsey, the dreamy doctor on ABC's hot new drama "Grey's Anatomy," shared a secret to his own anatomy -- keeping in shape for those sex scenes! "Now the pressure's on," Patrick admitted. "Plus, I'm getting to be middle-aged, I've got to really keep my stuff together!"
So, while Patrick's busy working out, Paul's busy recruiting
his famous friends for his own charity: the upcoming
Camp Hole in the Wall event, featuring Julia Roberts
and as Paul told us, "Paul McCartney, Robin Williams,
the Emerson String Quartet, a whole bunch of people."
It seems that when Newman wants to make things happen, he really puts the pedal to the metal.
