Will Brad and Angelina Say ‘I Do' This Weekend?
March 17, 2006

The whole world is on Brangelina wedding watch this weekend, and "Extra" is tracking down every lead.

First stop was Lake Como where Brad Pitt's pal George Clooney owns an estate. Locals in the area are searching for a star sighting and the paparazzi are on high alert.

"Reporters and photographers from all over the world have been camped out in anticipation of a possible wedding," said Us Weekly's Bradley Jacobs.

Jacobs told us that speculation really got going when workers started sprucing up the Oscar winner's lavish villa. But there is one hitch: "George Clooney's been in New York all week filming his movie, ‘Michael Clayton.' So it seems unlikely he'd allow other people to plan this wedding in his own house."

So if it's not at Clooney's place, how about the romantic Villa d'Este resort in nearby Cernobbio? "Extra" spotted staff in high gear Friday, although the hotel manager revealed she's in the dark about any "I do's." "It could be a surprise for us if they just pop in," she said.

Meanwhile, stories that Brad and Angelina could wed on an unlikely love boat are still afloat. But the couple's camp is sinking that story. There's one thing we can promise you: "Extra" will be on wedding watch all weekend long!
