Simon Reveals His 'Idol' Favorites
March 8, 2005 He
gets those "Idol" wannabes revved up
every week on TV, but Simon Cowell was taking
out his aggressions on the race track, as only
"Extra" joined the judge dread as he
geared up for next month's Toyota Pro Celebrity
Race.
So how did the brash Brit do on the speedway?
Simon scored 9's all around, but told us he wouldn't
be coming back to the track anytime soon. "It's
more difficult than I thought," he admitted.
"I may be beginning to regret it."
However, one thing Simon doesn't regret is his
choice for this season's "American Idol:"
Carrie Underwood. "I still think she's the
best, I really do," Cowell revealed. "I
think she's got a run for her money, though, with
a couple of the guys, maybe this guy Bo for instance."
"I wasn't sure about him in the early stages,"
Simon continued about hard-rocking Bo. "But
I like him because he's authentic."
Wait a minute, Simon has a favorite? And he loves
a rocker? Is this the end of Mr. Nasty? Let's
not get carried away. "I would actually like
to create a trap door, which they'd fall through
when they've dropped out," Simon suggested.
Catch "American Idol" Tuesday night
on FOX.
