Sheryl and Lance's Stunning Split Decision

She was by his side during the Tour de France, but now Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong are heading for the Tour de Splitsville. Only "Extra" was with Sheryl backstage in New York Friday night, just hours before the world learned of her and Lance's split decision, when she attended the Red Dress Fashion Show for women and heart disease.
The crooner was in high spirits as she dazzled in a Ralph Lauren concoction. "He's my main man," she revealed. As for her real main man, Lance Armstrong, "Extra" was told not to ask any questions.
And we soon learned why. That very night, 34-year-old Lance and 43-year-old Sheryl announced the wedding is off. As everybody asks why, People magazine's Jess Cagle said the bombshell breakup is truly a mystery. "Maybe it's the age difference… maybe it ran its course," he said.
Sheryl is currently featured on the February cover of Allure magazine in a Vera Wang wedding dress and seemed very excited about the engagement: "Everyday we set a date," she had said. "Then we move, then just say, ‘Let's just run off.'"
The couple is certainly running off -- only now, they are running from each other. However, in a joint statement, Lance and Sheryl told "Extra:" "We both have a deep love and respect for each other."
In other Couples News, power couple Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn is looking more in love everyday. The duo was seen hugging and gambling at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, while Vince made a stop to perform his Wild West Comedy Show.
Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson is clearing up rumors that she's dating Maroon5 lead singer Adam Levine. "Extra" caught up with Jessica shopping in Hollywood, and she clarified, "I only date cowboys."
Speaking of cowboys, country hottie Tim McGraw made a sweet serenade to his faithful wife on Oprah in their first TV interview as a couple. The show airs Tuesday, but "Extra" found out their secret to nine years of wedded bliss.
"Patience," Tim said.
"We're both very stubborn," Faith added. "It took a few years to figure that out."
