Red Carpet Beauty Secrets: How They Look So Good
February 24, 2005
With just three days to go until Oscar Sunday, Oprah is giving her viewers the red carpet treatment on Friday's show, starting with some beauty secrets from Jessica Simpson.
"I stick my neck out, that way I don't have the double chin," Simpson advises. "And I turn to the side."
But that's not the only suggestion -- "Extra's" uncovered more red carpet secrets at the official Revlon Oscar suite that reveals old-style glamour with a modern flair.
Greg Kwiat, of Kwiat Jewelers, says the stars will be dripping in colorful vintage diamonds this year. "Celebrities don't buy, celebrities borrow," she revealed. "You're going to see a lot of hanging earrings. We'll see a lot of broaches in unique places, maybe on the back or on the side, maybe in the hair. We'll see a lot of layered necklaces, thin chains, but always extra long."
And according to Revlon's Troy Jenson, makeup should be simple and understated. "You want it to look a little bit undone," he suggested. "Undone and a little bit effortless."
So from beautiful makeup to dazzling diamonds, Oscar's red carpet promises to be white hot on Sunday night!
And "Extra" will be there, bringing you details of the excitement as it occurs. Check back here on Sunday night, for our live, online Awards Watch, as we bring you the stars from the red carpet and the Oscar blow-by-blow, all night long.
