Go Inside People Magazine and the EIF's
SAG After Party
January 31, 2006
After the stars claimed their trophies at Sunday night's
Screen Actors Guild Awards, there was only one place
to be: People Magazine and the Entertainment Industry
Foundation's after party.
Joaquin Phoenix walked the party line, new mom Britney Spears kicked up her heels, and "24" star Kiefer Sutherland was indeed the man of the hour.
Also on hand were a slew of bright stars including SAG winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ray Romano and Morgan Freeman, who showed the love to old friend Kevin Bacon with a big bear hug.
"Extra" was there to catch all the candid moments -- like George Clooney showing good sportsmanship after losing in the supporting actor category to a "Cinderella Man." "Listen," George joked, "I don't like Paul Giamatti."
After laughing with our cameras, George found his favorite piece of "Grey's Anatomy": Ellen Pompeo. The Oscar nominee chatted it up with Pompeo, while her castmates took their own party pictures.
Meanwhile, the "Lost" boys did everything they could to not lose their SAG trophies. The tropical team kicked back together as star Harold Perrineau snapped a shot of his cozy co-stars.
"It's very much an ensemble show," star Dominic Monaghan said of "Lost." "It's nice to be seen that way."
Patricia Heaton turned into a shutterbug for People
after revealing, "I used to work for them… they
gave me this camera to take some photos." Heaton
caught stunning mom-to-be Mariska Hargitay and found
Teri Hatcher playing practical jokes on Felicity Huffman.
Despite a night of fun, the stars realized it was back to work in the morning. Eva Longoria and boyfriend Tony Parker called it an early night, with James Denton leaving not far behind. "We've got to go home and relieve the sitter," Denton revealed.
Yes, it's true. Even in Hollywood, celebrations can't last forever!
