Tyra Banks Gets Green Light for Second Season
January 24, 2006

It's official: Tyra Banks is returning for season two. "Extra" was in Las Vegas with the supermodel-turned-talk show host the moment she found out the future of her talk show is a sure thing.

Telepictures President Jim Paratore made the announcement at the Annual NATPE Television Convention. So for Tyra and her millions of fans, it looks like there will be another action-packed year of Tyra's signature twists, turns and of course, tears.

"I'm so happy to be sitting here right now," Banks said. "What's going to be different for season two? It's going to be better. I'm going to have a whole lot more celebrities, and I'm just going to be a better talk show host."

The Queen of the Catwalk also let "Extra" in on the secret behind her daytime dominance. "It's real, it's not fake," she said simply. "People can see past fake, child. You know they can. You know this weave ain't real. You all know what I'm saying!"
