Howard Stern Reprises Role on Airwaves
January 9, 2006
Before loyal listeners could miss him, Howard Stern returned to the airwaves Monday morning on Sirius Satellite Radio.
Stern caused a stir when he announced that he and longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky tied the knot during a recent jaunt to Mexico. However, before the show ended, Stern said, "I blew everyone's mind saying I'm married, but the truth is, I'm not married. We have no plans."
"Extra" also got Howard's reaction to a recent
story about one of his daughters, Emily, who did an
off-Broadway show and was nearly naked onstage. "Well,
the fact of the matter is, I advise my daughters not
to be naked," Stern said. "I don't have a
problem with nudity. I don't even have a problem with
my daughters being in a play naked. But it would have
to be a real play."
During the return celebration, Stern also tried to reach out to his FM replacement, former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth. Roth wouldn't take Stern's calls, but that didn't stop him from offering some advice. "Be more honest, less afraid, and don't be afraid to take negative phone calls." In other words, answer Howard's call!
Maybe next time.
