No More Reconciliation for Denise and Charlie
January 4, 2006

Just days after Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were spotted enjoying a romantic getaway at a beautiful Barbados resort, the couple's divorce is back on.

"Extra" obtained the court documents filed in Los Angeles Wednesday, in which both Charlie and Denise ask a private judge to handle their divorce.

"Our sources say that things fell apart between them over the holidays," said attorney Harvey Levin, who is the managing editor of the entertainment Web site TMZ.com and first broke the story.

Sheen recently told "Extra" he had hope for reconciliation, stating, "Things are a whole lot better. I think there's hope."

Denise filed for divorce last March, citing irreconcilable differences. But now it appears their marriage is officially coming to an end.

"They were trying to reconcile during the fall, no doubt about it," Levin said. "They were seen in public, but something happened over the holidays that made this whole thing blow up, and both sides agreed that this divorce has to go through."

Photographers caught a smiling Denise with her dog outside a Malibu pet store Tuesday. The actress looked great after giving birth to the couple's second daughter just last summer.

There is no comment from either Denise or Charlie today.
