Graham Teams Up with Real Best Friend for New Series
January 3, 2006

She scrubbed in as a sexy shrink on "Scrubs" and roller skated her way into Mike Myers' heart in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me," now Heather Graham is diving into the female psyche in her new series.

Heather stars in "Emily's Reason's Why Not," where she plays a woman who offers "reasons" for making moves and "reasons" to just move on.

Like her small screen character, the real-life Heather is also single, available and looking! "I do believe in the concept of having a soul mate and having some amazing passion," Graham told us. "You want a really good passionate, sexual connection."

"If a guy says something on a first date, you should really listen," Graham continued. "Because he's telling you who he is. So if he's says, ‘I'm a cokehead,' then you're just like, ‘Bye!'"

In the ABC series, Nadia Dajani plays Emily's best friend. But what most people don't know is that in real life, the two have been best gal pals for years. "We gossip incessantly," Nadia admitted.

So what secret can Nadia tell us about Heather? "Ask her about playing cards," she told us.

"I'm very competitive, very mean," Graham admitted.

"Emily's Reasons Why Not" premieres Monday night on ABC.
