The King of Sundance
January 25, 2005

Kevin Costner and his gorgeous new wife, Christine, have the Sundance crowd buzzing this week. The happy couple talked to "Extra's" Jerry Penacoli about Kevin's new movie, "The Upside of Anger," one of the hottest tickets at the Sundance Film Festival.

In the film, Kevin stars as a washed up baseball player who tries to get to first base with Joan Allen, who plays an alcoholic single mother of four. "It was an exhausting character, but a lot of fun," Joan told us.

"My character is kind of like a St. Bernard who wanders from yard to yard and sees who has food and maybe have a drink or something," Kevin added. "He's the stoner alcoholic, but he's not hurting anybody."

In the movie, Joan bares a lot more than just her acting chops - and looks great doing it. "All that gym is paying off," she admitted.

Find out how "The Upside of Anger" pays off when the Sundance winners are announced later this week.
