'Sideways' and Foxx Lead SAG Nominees
January 11, 2005
Awards season just keeps ramping up, as Rosario
Dawson and James Denton announced the Screen Actors
Guild nominations on Monday. "Well, today they
thought the gardener was coming, then they saw me
and said, 'Ah, we thought it was Jesse Metcalf,'"
James joked.
Despite that dubious disappointment, It was yet
another big day for a little film called "Sideways,"
the man called Foxx and the Wisteria women.
Teri Hatcher is up for Best Actress in a Comedy
and the entire cast was nominated for Best Ensemble
Comedy. Teri's costar, James, told us, "I'm
just really happy for Teri. All of the women deserve
it."
But we couldn't let the hunky neighborhood plumber
get away without revealing some "Housewife"
secrets. "Well, my character is finally starting
to get dark," Denton continued. "We're
going to push the audience a little bit to see how
much they'll accept from him. And Ryan O'Neal is
coming in an episode and some really great people."
Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx received nominations for both
"Collateral" and "Ray," and
the movie "Sideways" received four nominations.
You can find all the winners when the SAG Awards
air on TNT February 5th.
