Ask
Dr. Sean
How
much is that doctor in the window? Extra's Dr. Sean
was at Bloomingdale's in New York City today, the model
for Extra's "tropical christmas" display While he was
there, he also offered up some health tips to Bloomingdale's
employees for today's "Ask Dr. Sean."
Q:
Do you have any advice on how to protect my skin from
the sun?
Dr. Sean: Skin
cancer is the most common cancer in the world. It's
very important that when you go out in the sun to cover
up with an SPF of at least 15, preferably 30 or higher.
Okay and also avoid sun exposure, wear a hat, wear sunglasses.
Q:
Dr. Sean, I'm on my feet all day and they're killing
me. Can you help me?
Dr. Sean: Your shoes could be the problem. The actual
size of your foot can increase five percent throughout
the day. Go at the late afternoon, buy yourself some
comfortable shoes with a much smaller heel.
Santa:
Ho Ho Ho my aching back, Dr. Sean, what should I do?
Dr.
Sean: Hello, Santa. Back
pain affects millions, it's the single leading cause
of disability in men under 45. There are some stretching
exercises that you can do. But the one biggest thing
is lose a little bit of weight. You're looking a little
chubby, Santa.
