Ask Dr. Sean

How much is that doctor in the window? Extra's Dr. Sean was at Bloomingdale's in New York City today, the model for Extra's "tropical christmas" display While he was there, he also offered up some health tips to Bloomingdale's employees for today's "Ask Dr. Sean."


Q: Do you have any advice on how to protect my skin from the sun?

Dr. Sean: Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the world. It's very important that when you go out in the sun to cover up with an SPF of at least 15, preferably 30 or higher. Okay and also avoid sun exposure, wear a hat, wear sunglasses.


Q: Dr. Sean, I'm on my feet all day and they're killing me. Can you help me?

Dr. Sean: Your shoes could be the problem. The actual size of your foot can increase five percent throughout the day. Go at the late afternoon, buy yourself some comfortable shoes with a much smaller heel.


Santa: Ho Ho Ho my aching back, Dr. Sean, what should I do?

Dr. Sean: Hello, Santa. Back pain affects millions, it's the single leading cause of disability in men under 45. There are some stretching exercises that you can do. But the one biggest thing is lose a little bit of weight. You're looking a little chubby, Santa.
