Daily Dose

Now, grape news for your hair, licorice and your libido, and a surprising slice of advice for pizza lovers. We're ordering up the works in today's Daily Dose.

Passionate about pizza? It may not be the nutritional no-no we all thought. The reason - dietary experts say pizza serves up choices from just about every food group - grains in the crust, tomato is a veggie, cheese is dairy and there's protein in many toppings. It's even better if you pat away the fat on the top of a pizza with a paper towel.

Guys with a sweet tooth may want to pass on the licorice. It can make you less manly. A small study finds the candy contains a substance that reduces testosterone levels.

And finally, want to look better without going under the knife? You can improve your looks simply by eating the right foods. To banish baggy eyes, drink plenty of water. It helps get rid of that puffy, swollen look. Want thicker hair, grab a bunch of red grapes. They contain a substance that stimulates hair growth. To stop dry skin eat an apricot or any foods rich in vitamin A. They help your body make more of a substance that protects your skin from the elements.

And that's today's Daily Dose.
