High heels, sexy stilettos, and strappy sandals, these shoes rule the runways and the red carpet and they send our self-confidence soaring. But these pesky pumps can lead to searing pain!
So Park Avenue podiatrist Suzanne Levine found a way to take the pain out of platforms. She says, “It’s a whole protocol we set up for patients who want to wear the very high heeled shoes.”
Levine treats tortured feet using the CoolTouch laser. Age and constant pounding causes the cushion under the ball of your foot to wear thin. The CoolTouch laser zaps the tissue under the skin causing a soft layer of collagen to form over the ball and heel of the foot.
The finishing touch is a copper-based cream, which spurs collagen production. It'll put that spring back in your step.
Dr. Levine says, “It’s almost serving as internal cushioning.”
Millie Soto felt no pain during this 15-minute procedure. She says. “It was very relaxing. It almost feels like a squirt of water on your feet.”
Diedra Orhant is a believer too. The CoolTouch laser lets her strut her stuff in style and comfort, no matter what she's tying on her toes. She says, “After you leave the office and you start walking around you feel almost like you're walking on a pillow.”
