What are the two primary contributions pageants make for today's women?

Pageantry exposure allows women to voice their concerns,
share their views and introduce their ideas to society. Secondly, pageantry
also showcases the positive attributes of the contemporary woman providing
leadership for today's youth.

2.) What is the single, most important message a titleholder
can convey?
|
|
That your words and actions can positively or negatively
influence the people or events around her.

in any educational studies? If so, what are you studying? Where? What
are your eventual goals?

I am currently studying Psychology and Journalism at the
University of Oregon. My goal is to be a major network broadcaster.

occupation?

Yes, as an apartment leasing agent.

5.) Name one personal accomplishment (in addition to
being a state titleholder) that makes you especially proud.

I am the first person to attend college in my family.

6.) What have you learned about yourself during the
past year?
|
| Through my time management skills I have been
able to complete my athletic and educational obligations while caring for
my mother who is terminally ill with colon and lung cancer. |

thing you have done? |
| I rode the "Riddler" ride at Six Flags amusement
park. |
| 8.) Describe what you think the role of women
will be in the 21st century. |
| Women will continue to acquire more prominent
positions in the work force that will implement social, political and economic
change. |

with your time and/or resources in the past? |
| The American Cancer Society, The United Way,
The Martin Luther King Computing Center, and The Miracle Network. |

your view of life? |
| It is better to give than to receive. |

| My "Best Friend" charm. My mother and I exchanged
charm pieces in 1998 when she decided to fight her colon cancer. |
