Hillary Clinton signed a deal recently to write a memoir. But she's not the only person trying something new in New York. Somebody else with a connection to the Clinton White House has become the toast of the town. EXTRA is in Manhattan with more on the new Monica Lewinsky.

It's a Seinfeld classic... Jerry tries to set a fashion trend, by carrying a Euro-style accessory. Well, now every average Joe could sport a similar style, thanks to another famous American.

Monica Lewinsky, the woman at the center of the biggest political scandal in memory, is the brain behind these new bags for men. They're the latest addition to the Monica handbag line which she designs herself.

They sure seem to be hot. Monica's handbags have already sold out once at the upscale New York store Henri Bendel. And it's not just her handbags that are popular.

Lizzie Grubman, the queen of New York publicists, says the Lewinsky scandal has faded and her personality is winning people over. She says, "Monica's a very desirable party guest."

Monica's been dubbed the new "It girl" by the New York Post. She's just been featured in a New York magazine story on prominent New Yorkers, and even has a regular slot on an English TV show.

Her reaction to being named the new New York "It girl?" She says, "It's very flattering. It certainly is something that is nice to hear."

But business mogul or media star, Monica's still just a homebody at heart. Where will she be in ten years? She says, "I hope to be married with kids."
