EXTRA
Talks With the Latest Playboy Covergirl
She's
volleyball star who's appearing without a net, or much
else for that matter, in Playboy magazine. Steve Santagati
talks to Gabrielle Reece about her decision to bare
more than just her soul.
You know this tall drink of water from her days on the
beach. Oh and let's not forget all those magazine covers.
But it's Gabrielle Reece's latest move that's sure to
spike the public's attention!
She says, "I think the pictures are a positive image
of a woman and a woman's body. Obviously the publication
is where people get a little prickly but that's part
of it."
The queen of pro volleyball is now holding court on
the pages of Playboy. Steve asked gabby what her friends
and family thought about her sexy "set."
Gabrielle: The only person who was not happy was my
mother. But you know my friends and my family I think
they trust and respect my way of doing things and that
I think about things a lot before I do them."
Steve: So what's the down side to posing naked?
Well it is a bit weird when you're at the golf course…
Ok I did have this, this is a strange thing. A 65-year-old
guy stops the cart and he's like 'you know I saw your
pictures' and you're like 'oh no!' That is sort of is
a bit odd."
Gabby's been spending a lot of time on the greens lately.
She told Steve she's training to compete in the LPGA.
Steve: Are you done with volleyball? Is this it for
you?
Gabrielle: You know I don't know if I'm done for good
but the way I look at it is if I'm going to really make
a go at this golf thing I have to take away the safety
net.
Trust us Gabby, the golf course is gonna be a whole
lot more scenic with you on it.
Gabby joins this short list of female athletes to pose
for Playboy: skater Katarina Witt, boxer Mia St. John,
and pro wrestlers Chyna and Sable.
