Playboy
Picks

The millions who read Playboy have some big decisions
to make. They'll have the rare opportunity to pick a
future covergirl, and as Phil Shuman tells us the list
of candidates appear to be pretty good sports.
Posing for Playboy was a right of passage for instant
celebrities like millionaire bride Darva Conger, actresses
like Carmen Electra, even athletes like pro volleyball
player Gabrielle Reese. Now Playboy's searching for
beauty in a new field.
Playboy wants you to vote for the hottest sports babe.
The online poll features nominees like Melissa Stark
of ABC's "Monday Night Football," Summer Sanders from
NBC, Pam Oliver, and Jillian Barberie of Fox.
Barberie, who doesn't apologize for her blatant flirting
with the boys on "Fox NFL Sunday, says she's taking
this all with a sense of humor, "It's not like I'm on
the most ugly list. I mean it's a fantasy for every
woman, those women are perfect. Though I'm sure it's
a lot of airbrushing."
Laura Sigman of Playboy.com knows this may be controversial
as some of these women, Hannah Storm on NBC, are veteran
reporters and far from sex symbols. But the idea is
to promote a website and appeal to playboys target audience…
men.
Laura says, "A lot of these women have to take it with
a grain of salt. They're attractive in a male focused
industry. Lot of male eyeballs, they're used to it."
