Dark Angel
Wednesday July 18, 2001

She's the genetically engineered wonder woman who's conquering the fans and clobbering the competition! Now, "Dark Angel" Jessica Alba is soaring into season two. But first, the super-charged siren will have to win over a new night, Friday's at eight.

Co-executive producer of “Dark Angel” James Cameron, says his ensemble action-drama will fly in a new direction. He adds, “There are going to be a lot of new characters, and a number of new villains. What we want to do is shift the emphasis of the show slightly more towards science fiction."
Cameron says his little angel will still pack plenty of punch though.

From high-flying wire fighting, to racing her character, Max's motorcycle, Jessica says it's rough on her muscles, and her nerves. Jessica adds, "Sometimes the action is exhausting. One mistake and you’re running over a camera and five men. I have so much respect for anybody who does action because now I see how difficult it is."

Another highlight this season, Jessica's on-screen romance with co-star and real-life fiancée Michael Weatherly will continue to heat up. As for the couples' wedding plans, well Michael has been sworn to secrecy. He explains "I have been informed that if I speak at all about this, I will be in BIG trouble!!!

And after seeing how this angel gets her kicks, he'd better keep his mouth shut.
