Cruz and Cruise Tuesday July 17, 2001 Penelope and Tom were seen kissing outside of the L.A.hot spot Spago last. As "Extra" told you, the “Cuises” started dating after getting cozy as co-stars in "Vanilla Sky."

Penelope spoke to extra earlier this year about working with Tom and his “Jerry Maguire” sire, director Cameron Crowe. She says, "They've been great with me, good people, all of them Tom and Cameron. It's a great movie and I’m very happy with the shooting."

The magnificent maiden from Madrid has fueled gossip columns in two languages. She's dated Oscar-nominated spanish actor Javier Bardem and singer Nacho Cano. But Penelope has been a "silent senorita" on the romance rumors about American co-stars Matt, Nick, and now Tom. The woman sometimes called the Spanish Julia Roberts is a veteran of media and fan frenzy.

Penelope was a ballerina before the acting bug bit at 15. Now at 27, the leading lady of Spanish cinema has 29 films under her belt and most of them foreign. She says, "I am surprised. I was working in my country for 10 or 11 years and now it's happening here."

It's not just movies either. Penelope's exotic looks got her a modeling deal with Ralph Lauren. But becoming the international "it" girl, and having one of the world's most famous action stars by her side, hasn’t caused Penelope to lose her focus. She says, "I love acting. I'm completely obsessed with it. That's what I want to do for the rest of my life."
