Pamela Dennis Looks
at Summer Fashions
Friday
July 13, 2001
This season, designers showed everything from uniforms to unitards and a lot of skin in between. But what should you wear when you hit the streets?
Designer-to-the-stars Pamela Dennis says, “I think we need to give people options.”

Pamela
has made her mark outfitting some of Hollywood’s sexiest
leading ladies with head turning fashions. She reviewed
our summer dressing options - from the trends that are
a go to the big no-no’s.

Other Pamela Fav's:
- Cropped jeans with frayed edges

She says, “Everyone's into hip huggers. They’re great
if you've toned your stomach and you've got a great belly
button.
But there's a hidden danger to these low riders that a
lot of young hipsters may overlook. Pamela says, “Once
you sit down, it's what we call, I hate to say this, but:
plumber's butt.”
She says, “I love little tank tops that are belly baring.”
It seems no one even makes long pants anymore - it's all
Capri, Capri, Capri. Dennis says they make women look
short but if you must, “do it in a dark color.”
Some other no-no’s:
1) When it comes to hot pants, Dennis' hard and fast rule
is avoid them unless you're Giselle.
2) No shoes with ankle straps - they cut the leg off.
Opt for mules.
3) If you heard that a-line skirts mask figure flaws,
guess again. “A-line skirts are unflattering, especially
if you have hips.”
Some surefire winners:
- “Anyone can wear a wrap dress. They're camouflaging.
They're wonderful.”
- “I think low v-neck styles are always going to be in
style.”
And that will be a wrap for us. |
