Just
moments after the nominations, “Extra’s” Dayna Devon
talked to Sheen and producer Aaron Sorkin about the
show's blockbuster appeal. Sheen said, “I'd watch it
even if I wasn't on it and sometimes I watch it and
can't believe I’m on it.”
Sorkin said, “I felt great when I heard the news that
it's even sweeter the second time. It's harder to be
good for two years than it is for one.”
Since Sean Hayes and Patricia Heaton announced the categories,
it was only fitting they should be nominated too. Hayes
for best supporting actor on “Will and Grace” and Heaton
for best comedy actress on "Everybody Loves Raymond."
Marg Helgenberger of “C.S.I.” said the Emmy call came
as a big surprise. She was nominated as best actress
in a drama. She says, “The phone rang at 5:45 and I
thought it was my mother.”
Today the Emmy tribe has spoken. “Survivor” was nominated
in a new category for reality shows. ‘Sex and the City”
picked up a nomination for best comedy series.
