Model Attacked

She heats up the lens for companies like Sports Illustrated and Maxim magazine. He poses provocatively in ads like Kenneth Cole and Armani. Together, Shakara Ledard and Ralph Jacobs share a model marriage. But last week, this beautiful couple says they got a taste of something ugly.

She says, “I've been absolutely traumatized since it happened.”
The couple claims Jacobs was the victim of police brutality. That he got bruises from the New York police. He says, “They just came into my house, brutalized me, put me under arrest.”
The 27-year-old model from Martinique says it all began when he got in an argument with the cable guy inside his New York apartment. The repairman felt threatened by one of the couple’s dogs so Jacobs asked him to leave. Later, as Jacobs was about to get into the shower, police arrived at his door. They received a 911 call from the cable company claiming someone was being attacked inside by a dog.
Jacobs says, “They put the guns out on me when I was naked, they pepper spray me for no reason and they beat me with sticks and kicked me … so I call that abusive.”
Calling the attack racially motivated, the couple's attorney announced plans to take the cops to court. Police say there was never any dog attack, but defend their behavior saying Jacobs pushed a cop. But that's not good enough for this model wife.
She says, “I’m not going to let them get away with it.”
