'Mona Lisa Smile'
Next weekend, Julia Roberts brings her Oscar-winning smile to "Mona Lisa Smile." And then, she is looking forward to a quiet Christmas with her husband. Roberts says, "I'm going to be with my family at home."
Costars Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julia Stiles, and Kirsten Dunst joined Roberts. On this all-star girl’s night out, the conversation turned to the constricting undergarments the ladies had to wear in the 1950's coming-of-age flick.
Gyllenhaal says, "I didn't mind the corsets and the garter belts. I mean, they are sexy in some ways."
Roberts plays a college professor who teaches her female students to break the rules of conformity and says she enjoyed being part of this strong, female cast. Roberts says, "It was nice. I liked that. That is quite my preference to be with a group. It is just more fun, and more energized."
