Ruben Studdard

He already claimed the "American Idol" title. But now another dream comes true for Ruben Studdard.

"Extra" sat down with the velvet teddy bear just minutes after hearing about his nomination. Studdard says, "I’ve been nominated for a Grammy, and I’m excited."

Besides his big Grammy nod, Studdard’s debut album, "Soulful," is in stores now. He says, "I’m excited. We’re going to bust the doors wide open with it."

Since winning on "American Idol," many believe that Studdard has been upstaged by his "AI" runner-up, Clay Aiken. But Studdard takes it all in stride. He says, "Clay's album is doing good because he is an exceptional talent."

So what is next for this soulful crooner? He says, "I need to find a way to get a big-boys clothing line so that I could put it in Target or Wal-Mart so everyone can afford it."

See if Studdard can take home the statue, when the Grammy's air February 8th.
