Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck is bursting back onto the big screen in the political spy thriller "Paycheck," as a brilliant scientist with an erased memory.
"Extra" sat down with the Oscar-winning actor, and Affleck finally broke his silence, along with some big news, about his real-life romantic epic with fiancée Jennifer Lopez.
Affleck says, "It is a little bit scary and overwhelming and weird, you feel like a participant in a soap opera that you haven't written. For the most part I deal with it by ignoring it and assuming it will fade away. I felt really self-conscious and really embarrassed that it got to be carried away the way it did.
"It is our hope to get married, but we have no fixed plans in the near future. It has to do with us not wanting craziness in our lives and realizing there are things we can do to have that not happen."
Affleck also wished his former girlfriend, Gwyneth Paltrow, who is now pregnant with Coldplay's Chris Martin, well wishes. He says, "I’m sure their kid will be a wonderful singer because they both have great voices. She deserves all the happiness."
"Paycheck" hits theaters on Christmas Day.
