'The Bachelorette'
She is about to take the reins of one of the most-watched dating shows on TV. And only "Extra" has the first one-on-one with Meredith Phillips.
Following the bridal train of Trista Rehn, Meredith, best known as one of Bachelor Bob's final four, will hold all of the roses for the next "Bachelorette" on ABC.
Meredith admits to feeling some pre-show jitters. She says, "Oh, I'm freaked out. I'm totally freaked out. I mean in a good way."
America's newest sweetheart is 29 years old and was born in Oregon. She works as a make-up artist in California, but hopes to be a chef someday. She says, "I’m not all glamour. I can play pool and be with the boys and drink beers too."
It may not have worked out with Bob, but the green-eyed, 5-foot-10-inch Bachelorette knows what it will take to steal her heart this time around. She says, "He has to have certain sophistication, and also a certain level of humor, respect, and honesty is a really big one for me."
"The Bachelorette" premieres on ABC January 14th.
