Simon Cowell
It has been a crazy day for "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell. He has been everywhere promoting his new book, "I Don't Mean To Be Rude, But..."
First up is the "Today Show," where Katie Couric quizzed the Brit about the stories he tells about his "American Idol" colleagues.
Then it was on to "Live with Regis and Kelly," where Ripa talked about those really bad singers that we hear in the early "Idol" rounds. And Cowell lived up to his image and his book title.
But when "Extra" met with Cowell, there was no debate about what he really thinks of mega-music stars. He says, "If I was offered Michael Jackson as a recording artist tomorrow, no. And I see that ghastly kiss with Madonna and Britney Spears on the MTV awards. You know like I'm shocked... not. It is just smacks of desperation."
And Cowell says that you won't believe what is in store for "Idol" season three. He says, "This is the worst singing you’ve ever heard."
