Vegas Chefs

Bright lights, big money, and sexy shows, but Las Vegas is no longer just the gambling capitol of the world. It's now famous for fantastic food.

Famous chef Wolfgang Puck was the first to bring world-class cuisine to Sin City with Spago 10 years ago. Spago's combination of casual fare, fine foods, and a fun atmosphere made Puck's place an instant hit. He says, "We have everybody who comes here. Billy Crystal is there. Tony Danza, Geena Davis, Madonna. Anybody is somebody."

Spago's success attracted other top culinary stars like Charlie Palmer of Aureole in Mandalay Bay. At this exquisite eatery, you won't only find first class food. Only in Las Vegas would you find a three-story wine tower containing over 10,000 bottles of expensive wines.

At Aureole, beautiful high-tech wine angels fly to get customers like Al Pacino, Wesley Snipes, and Robert De Niro their coveted bottle of wine chosen from an extensive computerized wine list. Palmer says, "We have the e-wine book which is the first ever electronic wine list."

At the Bellagio's five-diamond restaurant, chef Julian Serrano shows why he's the Picasso of the chef world. Celebrities like Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg eat at Picasso. Several scenes from the movie "Ocean's Eleven" were filmed here too. And this is the only restaurant in America where you can check out eleven original paintings while you dine on delicious Mediterranean food.

Renoir at The Mirage is a favorite hotspot for Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman and Julia Child. Chef Alex Stratta creates an authentic European atmosphere with mouth-watering appetizers, main dishes, and desserts. He says, "I take the fundamentals of French cooking and I take the fundamentals of Italian cooking and I blend them."

So whatever type of fine food you fancy, you'll get your fill in Las Vegas.
