Jewel
"Extra" went behind the scenes for the taping of Jewel’s music video for the title track of her latest CD, "This Way."
She explains, "I wrote this song about wanting to freeze a relationship in time. Sort of, wanting to stay this way forever."
The song may be about her own four-year relationship with boyfriend and rodeo champion Ty Murray, who gets under the sheets with her in the video. Jewel says, "I'd rather it be him there instead of hired models. So he agreed to do it."
Jewel has spent much of the year on tour promoting "This Way" and says she finally is having things her way in her career. She says, "I had a lot more control over the CD. I think it shows my diversity better. I think it shows my singing better."
It's also more rock and roll than her previous albums. It looks like this Jewel keeps getting brighter and brighter.
