Jim Belushi

It is the city of the Bulls, the Bears, the Cubs, and one very funny, favorite son. Jim Belushi let us in on some of his Chicago secrets.

For starters, "Extra" got an exclusive close-up look at some of his favorite props on his primetime Chicago-based comedy, "According to Jim."

Just don't ask him about those loveable losers, the Cubbies. He says, "I refuse to talk about it."

But Belushi couldn't say enough about Chicago's famed improv theater, Second City, which not only launched his career, but those of Bill Murray, Bonnie Hunt, and his late brother John. Belushi says, "You've got to go there and touch a little of the magic."

Belushi also co-owns Chicago's House of Blues, where you'll sometimes find him jamming with Dan Aykroyd and their Blues Brothers-inspired band, The Sacred Hearts.

And even though he's lived in Los Angeles for 17 years now, Belushi left a big piece of his heart back home. He says, "Aunt Carole and Dino have a restaurant in Irving Park in Harlem, The Arbor Inn. I shop at Mr. Beef. I get a beef sandwich. I stop at Portillos, get a hot dog." So when Belushi comes back to visit, it is all about chowing down.

And "According to Jim," that is what makes Chicago cook. Belushi says, "It’s the greatest city in the world."
