Star Sightings
It was a star-studded night out with "Friends" Monday at the Los Angeles Museum of Television and Radio. The primetime players joined Jay Leno, Elliott Gould, and Kiefer Sutherland to honor broadcast legends like newsman Dan Rather.
But it was the cast of "Friends" breaking news to "Extra." They all came to honor their bosses, Kevin Bright, David Crane, and Marta Kauffman. Matthew Perry says, "All six of us are here to support them because we love them."
Perry also told us something that fans will love. Danny DeVito will soon be busting out in a special role on "Friends." Perry says, "Danny DeVito plays a stripper and he was just off-the-chart funny."
Matt LeBlanc is excited about his new spin-off sitcom, and he hopes to keep his extended "Friends" family together. He says, "In terms of the crew, I’m going to try and take everyone with me."
On the other side of the country, in New York, the world's most glamorous women graced the stage Monday night in Manhattan for Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year Awards. Britney Spears was there, and she says, "It's awesome, it is very cool."
And Spears not only won this award, but beams from the cover of the latest issue of the fashion magazine. And that makes Kelly Ripa very happy. Ripa says, "I have to see what she's wearing. I have to see who she's dating, I have to know."
Sharon Stone was there to honor other winners too, like designer Vera Wang. Stone says, "She’s a fireball."
Patti LaBelle, Diane Sawyer, Ellen DeGeneres, and even war heroes Shoshanna Johnson and Jessica Lynch, who traded her fatigues for formal wear, were there.
