Jessica Simpson
"Newlywed" and pop diva Jessica Simpson is in Chicago promoting her new album, "In This Skin." And everywhere she went, Simpson was met by adoring fans.
She says, "I don’t even know where I’ve been. Name a state, and I’ve been there in the past two months."
But Simpson shared with "Extra" the intimate details about her whirlwind life. She says, "The whole thing is shocking. Nick and I never thought we were as entertaining as MTV makes us out to be. I'm loving it because people are responding to me and my heart and my personality and who I am. It's not a gimmick."
And being ditzy is not a gimmick either. Simpson says, "Dumb is no common sense, and ditzy is sticking my foot in my mouth, which I am really good at."
This blonde beauty is so hot, that all five networks were fighting over her. But Simpson says that ABC won the battle and is giving Simpson her very own sitcom. She says, "It was just crazy. I never thought in a million years that I would have everyone making an offer."
But Simpson’s dream gig would still be starring in a remake of "I Dream of Jeannie." She says, "Barbara Eden, here I come. I would love to; it would be so much fun."
But who knows what Simpson has time to fit into her busy schedule. She says, "There's lots of stuff on the table, from a makeup line to a clothing line to all kinds of stuff, and I'm just trying to make the right decisions."
She may be busy, but Simpson did have time to surprise Nick at his 30th birthday bash. She says, "I jumped out of a cake and danced with some pussycat dolls, and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ Marilyn Monroe style."
It seems like the honeymoon still isn't over for these two "Newlyweds." Simpson says, "I love everything right now. I'm scared something is going to fall out from under my feet because everything feels so perfect."
