Wayne Newton

The Grandfather of Las Vegas performs 207 times per year in Sin City. And Wayne Newton gave us a sneak peek at the new "Las Vegas" episode, which he is in.

Newton says, "When I heard they were doing this show I said to my wife, ‘I think that this is going to be a big show.’ And I’m playing the most despicable character in the world. I’m playing myself."

On the show, a tourist gets his lucky break from Newton when he is pulled onstage to perform a duet with Mr. Vegas.

But it is the Las Vegas regulars feeling lucky. "Las Vegas" costar Nikki Cox says, "It's pretty neat. There are all kinds of people that aren't always here, kind of showing up out of the woodwork to see what he's like. He's supposed to be quite lovely. We're all nervous and excited."

Wayne Newton lights up "Las Vegas" Monday night at 9 p.m. on NBC.
