CBS at 75
"Everybody Loves Raymond," Fran Drescher,
"The King of Queens," Andy Griffith, Mary Tyler
Moore, the cast of "Dallas," and more: everyone
was there for CBS's big night.
It was a night to rub elbows with your favorite
CBS stars, from Murphy Brown and "Magnum P.I.,"
to Ginger and Mary Ann. Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann on
"Gilligan's Island" says, "I'm just so
excited that 'Lassie' is with us. I can't stand
it."
"The Nanny's" Drescher was
working it, and so was "Nash Bridges," Don Johnson.
He says, "This is the cool network."
And where else could you find Walter Cronkite
than with Wonder Woman. Even "The Dukes of Hazard"
was there. Call it a blast from the past as CBS celebrated
its 75th in a big way.
"Malcolm in the Middle's"
Doris Roberts says, "Something is older than I am. I
am loving that."
It was a night for CBS stars of today, like
Charlie Sheen, to meet living legends like Mary Tyler Moore.
And for Carol Burnett and the stars of the Tiffany Network,
it was a night to shine.
And there was talk about whether "Everybody
Loves Raymond" will be back after this season. Roberts
and Peter Boyle hope to convince Romano with a little tough
love. Boyle says, "We'll hug him and spank him."
Charlie Sheen and pregnant wife, Denise
Richards were talking baby, while "The King of Queens"
Kevin James praised his real-life queen, his beautiful fiancée.
He says, "She brings my game up, like when you play golf
with someone better than you. I look better with her."
It was the ultimate TV family reunion, and
the stars of CBS were happy to keep it "All in the Family."
