Cage and Presley Divorce
Now just three months, fifteen days after the stars said "I do" in a secret Hawaiian ceremony, the marriage between Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Pressley is over. "Extra" has learned that the Academy Award winner filed divorce papers Monday in Los Angeles.
The couple appeared together Saturday night at Hollywood’s Grauman Egyptian Theatre where the American Cinematheque paid tribute to Cage. They were side-by-side, but wore stony expressions.
Just two weeks ago when Cage spoke to "Extra," the actor was mum about his marriage, saying, "I'm not comfortable talking about that."
Cage is still not saying much, issuing this statement: "I did not talk about the marriage and I am not going to talk about the divorce."
Lisa Marie has also issued a statement that reads, "I'm sad about this, but we shouldn't have been married in the first place. It was a big mistake."
It’s a mistake Nic and Lisa Marie are asking a judge to correct.
