'American Idol'
"American Idol's" battering Brit is
back with a vengeance. Simon says, "I told Fox, I can't
hold back this time."
And there was no holding back when we caught up with People magazine's Sexiest Know-It-All at a photo shoot promoting "American Idol 2." But don't be fooled; the soft side of Simon quickly went by the wayside as he slammed last year's contestants. He says, "Last year, all we seemed to get were people who worked at Six Flags and bar mitzvahs. This year we've got guys who are mechanics and stuff like that. It's fantastic!"
Equally fantastic is the new correspondent, Kristin Holt, a former contestant from last season. Simon says, "I think it's good for the contestants to talk to somebody else who's been through it."
But what about his old buddy host Ryan Seacrest? Simon says, "Ryan seems to have gotten boring, hasn't got much to say. Kristin, she lights up a room, something Ryan isn't able to do. Interesting."
