Lopez and Affleck Are Engaged
They sizzle onscreen in the new J. Lo video, "Jenny From the Block." But off screen, Ben Affleck is more than Jennifer’s co-star, and now, more than her boyfriend. The man yanking on Lopez' bikini string is now officially her fiancé.
In an ABC promo hyping Wednesday’s "Primetime: Special Edition," it's Diane Sawyer who pops the question, "Are you getting married?" "Extra" spoke to Sawyer today by phone, and she gave "Extra" the inside story behind her scoop. She says, "We take a break, she makes a call, I think we know to whom, comes back and says, ‘Let’s talk.’"
And Sawyer confirms that Jennifer does indeed spill the news. She says, "I said, ‘Are you engaged?’ And she said yes. She takes us through the proposal, from beginning to end, and she is lyrical about it."
Lopez also confirmed reports she and Ben have visited a church in Boston, though they don’t have plans to wed there. While there is no word on when, Ben's "Good Will Hunting" co-star and long time friend Matt Damon tells "Extra" that he can't wait to share their special day. He says, "He's never looked as happy as he is now. I’ve known him for 22 years, I’ve never seen him this happy. Even when he lost his virginity he wasn’t this happy."
Looks like a star-studded walk down the aisle shaping up for Ben and Jen.
