He's an NBA superstar, super dad, actor, sex symbol, and married to one of the sexiest women in Hollywood, Vanessa Williams. L.A. Laker Rick Fox was raised in the Bahamas, and “Extra” had an exclusive invitation to the island paradise when he recently returned to his homeland.

Fox says, “It's a joy to not only go home to my house where I was raised, but simple things like walking down to the beach from the house."
On this trip, Fox gets a hero's welcome, complete with traditional headdress and a key to the country for his work with Bahamian children. Rick kicked off a new charity by giving pointers at a basketball clinic and encouraging students at area schools, including the one he went to.
Fox's father Ulrick still lives in the house Rick grew up in with a brother and two sisters. Rick used to spend summers working at the family's ice business and was supposed to take over for dad one day. Rick says, “This little NBA gig kind of put that on hold."
Youngest sister Sarah now helps run the business and says Rick was never cut out for it.
Rick sought out success on the court instead. He's got two NBA championships with the Lakers and several acting credits. Though he's on the road a lot, as is Vanessa with her busy acting career, the couple still manages to juggle a bicoastal marriage. He says, “We both work at being there for each other."
Between his, hers, and theirs, they're raising five children. Rick says, “We can't stop at five, that's not a big enough basketball team."
Guess what Rick, that's news to Vanessa. She says, “Oh my God, that’s what he says? I got to work a little longer till I get another break so it's not going to happen for at least another year."
Till then whether he's hooping it up in L.A. or giving back to friends and family in the Bahamas, Rick's life really is just another day at the beach.
