Las Vegas
Known for its extravagant hotels and glitzy nightlife,
Las Vegas is quickly becoming the food-Mecca of the West.
We enlisted Michael Politz, publisher of Food and Beverage
Magazine, to show us the new taste of Vegas. And the first
stop was the Charlie Palmer Steak House inside the luxurious
Four Seasons.
Politz says, "We got chefs from all
over the world coming into Vegas. And this is the hottest
secret. You can dine with the likes of Mike Myers, Dennis
Quaid, and Dustin Hoffman."
Want to rub elbows with Kurt and Goldie,
munch on salmon with Fred, or perhaps catch a glimpse of Cameron?
Head over to the Hard Rock, where you can parooze and smooze.
And you don't need an A-list bank account.
According to co-owner and Chef Keri Simon,
that is just what the once-upon-a-time "ER" doc
prescribes. Simon says, "We are a medium-priced restaurant.
Entrees run from about $18 to $36 for a good piece of meat.
When George Clooney comes, he's a big rib-eye fan."
And if it's tens you want to see, then Nine
is the place to be. Located inside the trendy Palms hotel,
Nine Steakhouse is where the beautiful people hang out.
If you're lucky, you might spot Palms
owner, George Maloof, hanging with pals, or find Leonardo
DiCaprio chilling with Tobey Maguire. Maloof says, "There
are lots of pretty girls and guys."
So if it's a smooth drink you're searching
for or a prime cut to fill the pallet, stop by, because Sin
City isn't just for gambling anymore.
