Jane Kaczmarek
The always lovely, extremely hilarious Jane Kaczmarek stopped by Hollywood and Highland to talk to "Extra." The Emmy-nominated mom is going into her fifth season on "Malcolm in the Middle."
Kaczmarek says, "I was pretty much giving up show biz when this all happened. I really didn't want to work much anymore, and 'Malcolm' came along when my husband and I were renovating the house, and my husband thought it could pay for the new bathroom."
It may have paid for a little more than that, but Kaczmarek says, "We're still living in the same house we were living in before we got 'West Wing' and 'Malcolm in the Middle.'"
Most people know her from the show where she's the caring, giving Jane. But she is also very involved in charity work. Kaczmarek says, "We're working with a group called Angel Soft Angels in Action, and it's a program to encourage students to get involved in their communities and service projects. It feels so good; there is nothing better than reaching out to somebody who needs a hand."
You can catch her on "Malcolm in the Middle," and as she says, get out and get involved in charities and turn off your TV.
