Justin Timberlake

"Saturday Night Live" is giving Justin Timberlake the chance to show that he can be funny. And Timberlake had MTV’s "Newlyweds," Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, right in his comedy crosshairs. "Extra" got a behind-the-scenes peek at Saturday night's show and a first look at the heartthrob singer's big debut as a comic.

Timberlake says, "Well, I don't like to brag, but I am funny. You can call me stupid, you can call me dumb, but as a kid I did sketch comedy a little bit. But I had no idea how much it takes to do this."

And Timberlake actually hijacked our cameras to make a pitch for acting engagements. He says, "Somebody, offer me a job. You watch me this Saturday. If you think I'm good, send me a script."
