Cuba Gooding Jr.

Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. is back on screen grabbing attention and hearts, starring in a role inspired by a true story. Gooding says, "It is such a powerful example of how great the human condition can be."

Gooding brings to life a character nicknamed "Radio," a mentally challenged man who is finding his purpose in life. But Gooding admits that when he first saw the script, he wasn’t filled with joy. He says, "I wasn't excited at first, I was scared to death because I knew I had to first become physically comfortable with this guy."

To help channel "Radio's" inspiring persona, Gooding found his inspiration very close to home. He says, "I chose my kids actually, this child like innocence of my oldest son Spencer and my younger son Mason; it just gave me all the fuel I needed emotionally."

You can see "Radio" when it hits theaters Friday, October 24th.
